Responsibilities
- Maintain and sustain semiconductor manufacturing equipment (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, diffusion).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective root cause solutions.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics (uptime, MTBF, MTTR) and drive improvements.
- Work closely with Process Engineers to optimize tool performance and yield.
- Lead or participate in equipment improvement projects (cost, quality, productivity).
- Support new equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols.
- Engage with equipment vendors for troubleshooting, upgrades, and spare parts management.
- Train technicians and junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Eelctrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years (or more) of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication (fab environment).
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with SPC, FDC, and basic statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, RF systems, robotics, and automation is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and on shift (if required).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
