Equipment Engineer (Front End)

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery and supporting equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the Production team on yield improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of process or equipment-related issues.
• Monitor equipment and production line performance, identify abnormalities, and maintain the Keep-In-View (KIV) log for proper tracking, follow-up, and escalation.
• Support engineering evaluations and data collection activities, including trial runs, calibration verification, machine qualification, and performance validation.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation in accordance with company procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline with 1-5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, for data entry, analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of motion control systems, including pneumatic systems, servo motors, and associated controls.
• Understanding of thermofluid principles, including fluid mechanics and heat transfer applications.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably Mitsubishi Q-Series PLCs.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to prepare clear technical reports and present findings effectively
