Job Description

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices

  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential health, safety and environmental hazards

  • Providing training and support to project teams on EHS protocols and procedures

  • Investigating and reporting on all incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate EHS considerations into the planning and execution of construction projects

  • Staying up-to-date with changes in EHS legislation and best practices, and ensuring the company's policies and procedures reflect the latest requirements

  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports on the company's EHS performance

  • Provide coaching and guidance to workers on EHS matters and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

  • Develop and manage EHS metrics, such as incident rates, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Lead and mentor Project teams fostering a proactive safety and environmental culture.

What we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an EHS management role, preferably within the construction industry

  • Strong understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical context

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address EHS risks and concerns

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems and training programs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.

  • Proficient in the use of relevant EHS software and data management tools.
