Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices
Conducting regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential health, safety and environmental hazards
Providing training and support to project teams on EHS protocols and procedures
Investigating and reporting on all incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate EHS considerations into the planning and execution of construction projects
Staying up-to-date with changes in EHS legislation and best practices, and ensuring the company's policies and procedures reflect the latest requirements
Maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports on the company's EHS performance
Provide coaching and guidance to workers on EHS matters and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Develop and manage EHS metrics, such as incident rates, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Lead and mentor Project teams fostering a proactive safety and environmental culture.
What we're looking for
Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Minimum 5 years experience in an EHS management role, preferably within the construction industry
Strong understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical context
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address EHS risks and concerns
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems and training programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
Proficient in the use of relevant EHS software and data management tools.
