Key responsibilities include:
Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the project.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and requirements issued by the National Environment Agency (NEA).
Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits of the construction site to identify potential environmental risks.
Monitor environmental control measures including dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, drainage control, and pollution prevention.
Implement and manage vector control measures to prevent mosquito breeding and pest infestation within the worksite.
Maintain proper environmental records, reports, and documentation as required by the authorities and the Superintending Officer (S.O.).
Coordinate environmental monitoring activities and ensure corrective actions are taken where non-compliance is identified.
Conduct environmental awareness briefings and toolbox talks for site personnel.
Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders on environmental matters where required.
Investigate environmental incidents or complaints and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Must be registered as an Environmental Control Officer with the National Environment Agency (NEA).
Minimum 5 years of post-registration practical experience relevant to the scope of works under the contract.
Must possess the Vector Management & Control for Companies certificate issued by the Singapore Environment Institute (SEI).
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and environmental management practices in Singapore construction projects.
Experience in implementing environmental control measures on construction worksites.
Familiarity with environmental inspection procedures, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Good communication and coordination skills to work with the project team, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
Ability to identify environmental risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
