Bloomberg's Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) and Derivatives Data & Valuation Services (BVAL OTC) offer a comprehensive suite of risk management and valuation tools, powered by Bloomberg's world-class pricing library and market data. These solutions help clients analyze portfolios, manage exposures, and adapt to changing market conditions.

What's the role

As a Buy-side Risk Account Manager you'll play a key role in expanding the MARS and BVAL OTC franchises. You'll partner with buy-side clients to identify opportunities, deepen adoption, and ensure Bloomberg remains central to their risk and valuation workflows. You'll also collaborate across sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver value-driven solutions and shape our commercial strategy across the ASEAN region. This role will be based in our Singapore office.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for working with our existing clients to nurture deeper relationships and develop new revenue streams. You will do this by building pipeline across both product lines and converting it into sales, increasing the awareness of these products internally within Bloomberg, building key relationships with decision makers, and providing actionable feedback to management and product teams.

We'll trust you to:

  • Be equipped with good risk knowledge to confidently engage in technical risk discussions with buy-side clients while driving commercial outcomes
  • Identify workflow gaps and expansion opportunities for MARS and BVAL solutions
  • Lead consultative sales engagements and manage up-sell campaigns alongside multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with users and senior stakeholders
  • Identify and contribute insights on market, regulatory, and competitive trends which can lead to business opportunities to expand Bloomberg's footprint
  • Collaborate internally to ensure exceptional client experiences
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate and address client needs
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years client facing experience in Financial Services or a Financial Technology company
  • Experience in Derivatives (from the buy-side or sell-side, or vendor selling derivatives market data and risk analytics tools)
  • Demonstrated experience in buy-side trading workflows and front office risk
  • Consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting and business development
  • Aptitude to excel in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree or degree equivalent qualifications

We'd love to see:

  • Experience in financial engineering/structuring or experience with risk systems/valuation platforms
