Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
This position is within Chevron's Treasury - Enterprise Finance division in Singapore. The Enterprise Finance team collaborates with other Treasury teams worldwide to deliver comprehensive Treasury support for Chevron's operations across the Asia Pacific region, partnering closely with business units to foster growth while protecting value. Responsibilities of this role include: 1) identifying and mitigating financial risks and exposures, 2) formulating internal and external funding strategies, and 3) managing treasury governance.
This position collaborates with business units to deliver high-quality, value-added advisory services and solutions, including but not limited to the following:
- Develop financing strategy proposals addressing debt portfolio composition, liquidity management, credit considerations, cross-border financing, and optimal capital structures for subsidiaries and affiliates (such as intercompany loans, capital contributions, and dividend policies).
- Provide support for key commercial and financial transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture formation and management, and major capital projects.
- Offer Treasury guidance and expertise during negotiations of complex agreements, assessing leasing proposals, vendor security arrangements, foreign exchange matters, and alternative or off-balance sheet financing options.
- Ensure compliance with established Treasury policies and Delegation of Authorities and assist in securing Treasury concurrence when required.
Required Qualifications:
- With 8-10 years Finance or Treasury experience.
- Bachelor's degree preference for following disciplines: Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Treasury Knowledge: Working knowledge of treasury management and project financing can apply finance and economic principles and analytical tools to assess value and risk characteristics of business alternatives.
- Critical/Analytic Thinking: Ability to synthesize diverse information in complex and ambiguous situations distilling key risk and return considerations underpinning financing and business decisions and to drive better outcomes by creatively proposing alternatives that navigate diverse interests with internal and external parties.
- Build Relationships: Strong self-starter who works collaboratively with businesses and teammates to drive outcomes that benefit Chevron through fostering positive relationships, strong teamwork, and inclusive collaboration. Enlist required resources across global Finance / Treasury function to meet objectives.
- Communication Skills: Ability to represent Treasury in its engagements with internal and external stakeholders can distil complex topics into concise communications tailored to cross-functional audiences and senior management.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project assignments, leading Finance / Treasury work streams on cross-functional project teams.
