Job Summary

This role is responsible for defining and delivering enterprise-wide technology architecture for a large-scale banking environment. The position focuses on designing, governing, and evolving mission-critical systems across key banking domains including Cards & Payments, Rewards & Loyalty, Collections, Credits, Core Banking, Customer Management, and B2B/B2C payment ecosystems. The role bridges enterprise architecture strategy and hands-on solution architecture, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business digitization goals.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in banking technology and enterprise architecture, with strong understanding across business, data, application, infrastructure, and security domains. The role requires close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders, oversight of complex multi-vendor environments, and the ability to translate architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIAN) into executable designs. Prior hands-on system development experience, solid knowledge of Java-based technologies, and familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery models are essential to successfully drive enterprise-scale transformation initiatives

  • Rewards & Loyalty covering program design & management, earn & redeem mechanics, settlement & accounting, analytics & personalization, customer experience, etc
  • Collections
  • Collections Lifecycle, Strategy & Segmentation, Payment Arrangements, Analytics & Reporting, etc
  • Core banking
  • Customer demographics and customer preference, deposit products
  • Customer and Account lifecycle management
  • Customer Communications
  • Credits:
  • Secured / Unsecured Loans, Limits and Exposures, Pricing, Collections, Credit Originations, Credit Scoring
  • Payments
  • Domestic / Local Payments, International / Cross Border Payments, Electronic Cheques, Real-Time FX and Contracts, Book Transfers

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years experience in the IT industry, preferably in large, complex enterprises
  • At least 8 years of experience in banking technology, including familiarization with digitization (Cards, Rewards/Loyalty, Collections, Credits, Deposits, Loans, Loan Origination, Payments, Receivables, Remittance, Escrow, Liquidity Management, Pricing)
  • At least 3 years experience in Enterprise Architecture in a large, complex, multi-location, multi-national environment
  • Experience in converting Enterprise Architecture Strategy into executable solution architecture
  • Deep experience delivering mission-critical, enterprise-scale IT solutions in a heterogeneous technology environment, both in-house built and 3rd-party vendor products
  • Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience (in aggregate no less than 8 years)
  • Understanding of at least one programming language, preferably in the Java family
  • A deep understanding of all domains of Enterprise Architecture, including the business, data, application, infrastructure and security domains. Able to constructively challenge Enterprise and Solution Architecture for a fault tolerant design
  • Familiarity with one or more formal Architecture frameworks/methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman, BIAN, etc.)
  • Good understanding and experience in various software development cycle methodologies, including migrating from waterfall to agile methodologies
  • Broad-based IT knowledge and experience (Hardware, Software, Middleware, Databases). Solid foundation in service-oriented technologies to be able to understand service interdependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems
  • Good understanding of Technology Taxonomy (Functional Disposition, Deployment, Performance, Integration Protocols)
