Job Description & Requirements

Clinical Care

. Perform all nursing treatment/procedures including the administration of medications, dressing application of topical creams a as per IMR and naso-gastric feeding under the supervision of a registered nurse.

. Assist Dr., Podiatrist, Speech Therapist, Dietician and SRNs during treatment and examination of residents.

. Conduct rounds to ensure that the residents are well and safe and be alert especially those on high risk.

. Assist residents with their individualised care programme, perform procedures such as oral hygiene, tube feeding, eye care, prosthetic aid, hearing aids bathing residents etc.

. Facilitate clients in/ conduct group exercise

. Assist clients in toileting, meals, change diapers/clothes.

. Report any abnormalities detected to the RN in charge e.g., skin condition or infection/sores.

. Perform daily handover to care staff during changes in shifts.

. Assist in bathing residents.

. Attend to call bells and residents needs.

. Assist Staff Nurse on application of topical creams as per IMR.

. Attend to residents personal grooming e.g., cut nails, shaving, etc.

. Turn bedridden residents 2 hourly.

Training & Development

. Orientate new staff on recruitment e.g., OJT

. Assist RN in clinical guidance for HCA and HA, and to participate actively in in-service training program.

Administration

. Assist in maintaining residents files/records. To assist in report writing and verbal reports on patients condition and progress and on nursing management of patients

. Report any abnormalities detected to the RN in charge eg skin condition or infection/sores.

. Assist the Registered Nurse in inventory checks and control.

Job Specification

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Nurse/ Nurse Manager.

Education Level: Nursing Degree / Nursing Diploma

Experience : At Least 1 year
