About the Opportunity

Our client is a venture-backed fintech infrastructure company building next-generation global payment and financial systems. The platform is designed to simplify and optimize financial operations for companies expanding internationally by integrating multiple payment capabilities into a single modular infrastructure.

They are currently seeking a hands-on Engineering/Technical Manager to lead the company's technology strategy, architecture, and engineering execution as the business continues to scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Engineering Leadership

. Define and execute the company's overall technology roadmap and architecture for payment and financial systems

. Design scalable, secure, and reliable systems capable of handling high-volume payment transactions and financial data flows

. Establish engineering standards, development processes, and platform reliability practices

. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team

. Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and engineering excellence

Platform Development

. Lead the architecture and development of payment processing systems, APIs, and financial data services

. Collaborate with product teams to design scalable payment workflows, integrations, and transaction processing systems

. Ensure systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and auditability required for financial platforms

Infrastructure & Reliability

. Design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure supporting financial workloads

. Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows

. Improve monitoring, observability, and system reliability across the platform

Team Leadership & Collaboration

. Mentor and guide engineers across distributed teams

. Support the growth and scaling of the engineering organization

. Work closely with product, design, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between product vision and technical execution

Client & Partner Engagement

. Engage with enterprise clients, payment partners, and financial institutions to understand integration requirements

. Support technical discussions and infrastructure design for enterprise implementations when required

Requirements

. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline

. 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including experience mentoring or leading engineering teams

. Strong experience building financial platforms, payment systems, or transaction-based products

. Experience working with technology stacks such as NodeJS, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL

. Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines

. Experience designing and scaling high-availability distributed systems

. Strong collaboration and communication skills when working across engineering, product, and commercial teams

. Experience building products in early-stage or high-growth technology environments is advantageous

Additional Information

. Exposure to financial technology, payment infrastructure, or transaction platforms is beneficial

. Experience working with global or regional technology teams is advantageous

. Exposure to international markets and enterprise client environments will be considered a plus
