Engineering Support Assistant (Software Engineer)

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Test Automation project(s) to develop software applications to implement the required functions.

• Define software specifications, develop coding and documentation for a variety of software applications, compile user manuals and release notes for patches/upgrades.

• Interface with internal customers for testing requirements, conduct analysis to develop automation solutions for deployment and implementation.

• Perform software tests on code and enhancements, identify application bugs, and implement solutions to improve quality and performance.

• Utilize automation technology and software solutions to increase testing efficiency.

• Investigate inquiries, questions, feedback, and issue reports from internal customers.

• Design data schemes and set up the databases that software interacts with, implement access control from both logic and data layers, and optimize queries for performance improvements.

• Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics teams on various software projects as needed.

• Compile data for regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis, and statements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or relevant disciplines.

• At least 3 years of experience developing software using C#, React, TypeScript, Python, or VB.NET.

• Experience in SQL and various database design and development.

• Hands-on experience with programming tools such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, etc.

• Experience in Data Comm, Device Control, SEMI SECS/GEM, EDA, PLC, or TCP/IP-based automation is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills to work with engineering teams to determine software requirements strong teamwork spirit.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Strong accountability, initiative, and ownership to deliver results.
