Engineering Manager

Brief Summary

• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery for complex building projects, driving safe execution, technical quality, and on-time outcomes. This role offers broad exposure across design coordination, stakeholder management, and project implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering scope, technical requirements, key deliverables, milestones, and resource needs across the project lifecycle Lead feasibility reviews and support options evaluation to confirm technical viability and risk considerations Oversee the development and review of conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs to ensure constructability and technical accuracy Review structural analyses, calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation resolve design conflicts and interfaces Coordinate engineering deliverables with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities Manage progress of engineering works against schedule, budget, and quality targets flag risks early and drive mitigation actions Provide technical leadership on-site and in-office to resolve engineering and construction issues during execution Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management requirements across engineering activities Oversee submissions and documentation for authority reviews/approvals and ensure records are complete and traceable Support testing, commissioning, close-out, handover readiness, defect rectification, and as-built documentation reviews Coach and mentor engineering team members allocate workloads and promote cross-discipline collaboration Drive continuous improvement through adoption of digital engineering tools, engineering best practices, and process enhancements

Requirements

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related discipline 10-12 years of relevant experience in construction project engineering, including at least 5 years in an engineering management / senior engineering leadership capacity Track record supporting large-scale building projects with strong ownership of engineering coordination and delivery outcomes Strong knowledge of buildability, temporary works coordination, design management, and construction methodologies Familiarity with local authority submissions/approval workflows and applicable codes/standards for project delivery Experience working with BIM/digital engineering tools and sustainability/green building practices is preferred Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align multiple parties on technical decisions and delivery priorities Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
