Job Summary
Our client (Architectural firm) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager (M&E) to oversee and coordinate all M&E aspects of their architectural and interior design projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project planning, technical coordination, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for M&E works.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and interior design teams to integrate M&E systems seamlessly into project designs.
- Review and evaluate M&E drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions from consultants and contractors.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential technical and coordination issues, proposing effective solutions to avoid project delays.
- Prepare and present progress reports and documentation for internal and client meetings.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Building, Construction, or Interior Design industry.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, implementation, and integration within architectural projects.
- Familiar with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines.
