Engineering Manager HVAC, Piping & Mechanical Systems (Marine)

Role & responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the General Manager in daily operations
• Provide relevant technical/engineering guidance, rules and regulatory updates and team trainings
• Conduct technical assessments and reviews for project tenders
• Manpower and resource planning for Resource Optimization
• Play a technical lead role for newbuilding, conversion and retrofit projects
• Manage vendor/supplier relationships and oversee technical assessments for equipment
• Manage and coordinate vendor integration with other disciplines
• Oversee the review and verification of equipment capacity sizing and system interface
• Ensure smooth interface with other disciplines for 3D modeling of HVAC systems, piping systems and machinery systems
• Consistent assessment to ensure overall project objectives are met

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in relevant discipline
• At least 12 years of experience in design and engineering for shipboard machinery systems, piping and HVAC systems
• At least 5 years in a leadership role, leading a team no less than 8 engineers
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and project management skills
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Tribon, CADMATIC, AVEVA
• Familiar with shipbuilding and offshore industry standards and practices
• Familiar with classification rules and national authority regulations
• Subject matter expert in engineering calculations for marine systems, piping and HVAC systems
