JobSummary

Weare seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development,system integration and validation of engineering solutions for our Automotive /Military Vehicle (AMV) business.

Therole will focus on Vision Systems and multidisciplinary system integration,covering mechanical, electrical/electronic and vehicle interfaces, withparticular consideration for thermal and vibration management.

Thesuccessful candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership, manage productdevelopment projects, support customer and production requirements, and developthe technical capabilities of the Engineering team.

KeyResponsibilities

• Lead the design, development and integration of vehicle-mounted Vision Systems, including cameras, sensors, displays and associated mechanical/electronic interfaces.
• Lead multidisciplinary system integration and ensure compatibility between subsystems and vehicle platforms.
• Ensure thermal and vibration management requirements are incorporated into system design and development.
• Lead system verification, validation and qualification to meet customer requirements and applicable industry and/or military standards.
• Manage product development projects from requirements and design through prototype, integration, validation and production implementation.
• Drive engineering design quality and achieve ≥90% on-time project delivery within approved budgets.
• Provide technical support to Production, Quality, suppliers and customers, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Support FAI, system testing, production transition and field/RMA investigations.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineers while building competencies in systems engineering, Vision Systems and system integration.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 5 years in System Integration and Engineering Management/Technical Leadership.
• Strong experience in Vision System design, development, integration and validation.
• Good knowledge of thermal and vibration management for vehicle-mounted or ruggedised systems.
• Experience in system verification and validation against applicable industry and/or military standards.
• Strong multidisciplinary engineering, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience managing engineering projects from concept through production and field deployment.
• Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in defence, military vehicles, specialised vehicles or automotive systems will be an advantage.
