Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of injection molding processes for medical, automotive and high precision industrial applications.
- Manage and oversee design, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions for high-precision assembly processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical devices, IATF 16949 for automotive).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new molds and maintain existing tooling.
- Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions for high-precision assembly processes.
- Drive automation projects to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance product quality.
- Partner with suppliers to integrate and implement advanced automation solutions for manufacturing.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve operational excellence.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and develop corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align engineering initiatives with company goals.
- Manage resources effectively to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all processes meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation for processes, validations, and design changes.
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards and technological advancements.
- Must lead and responsible for cleanroom design, construction, and monitoring, including the selection and engagement of qualified suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in injection molding and automation assembly, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and mold flow analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 13485, IATF 16949).
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in medical device or automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing technologies.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma and must be familiar with Minitab software.
- Familiar with FMEA, PPAP, APQP and IOPQ.
- Sound knowledge in SPC, FMEA, DFM, DOE.
- Possess strong leadership, positive attitude, analytical and good interpersonal skills.
