Location: Tuas (Shuttle bus from Jurong East & Serangoon)
Contract Duration: 1 Year - convertible to permanent
Working Days & Hours: 12-hour shifts, 5 rest days within every 15-day cycle
Join a leading national infrastructure project where youll play a vital role in the development and operations of a large-scale integrated waste-to-energy facility. This role offers hands-on involvement in both construction and plant operations, with opportunities to support project delivery, system testing, and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
Project Support
- Assist engineers in supervising construction progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with project consultants, contractors, and government agencies to oversee facility design and installation.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Attend factory acceptance tests locally and overseas to verify quality and performance of major equipment and systems.
Operations & Maintenance Support
- Lead a team of technical specialists in coordinating maintenance activities with contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical and control systems, including turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, and field instruments.
- Manage contracts for operation and maintenance of mechanical and building services equipment.
- Enforce safe work practices through permit-to-work systems and contractor supervision.
- Assist in developing SOPs, safety procedures, and testing/changeover programmes.
- Support shift operations in the waste-to-energy facility when required.
- Drive safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant reliability and safety standards.
Requirements
- Singaporeans only
- Diploma or Nitec in an Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, operations, or maintenance
- Professional certifications (e.g. Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant, Workplace Safety & Health Officer) will be an advantage
- Strong technical foundation with analytical skills; experience in solid waste management is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Navisworks and Primavera P6 preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a waste-to-energy facility and perform rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
