Engineer (Transmission Pipelines Operations & Maintenance)

What You'll Do:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Gas Transmission Infrastructure.
• Plan and implement maintenance schedule to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Gas Transmission Pipeline and associated facilities.
• Plan, implement, and review patrolling programs for the Gas Transmission Pipeline.
• Control and monitor third-parties earthwork activities in the vicinity of Gas Transmission Pipeline to prevent damages to the pipeline.
• Plan, organize and execute commissioning / decommissioning of pipelines and related facilities.
• Review and ensure adherence to safe works practices.
• Formulate, review and implement standard operating procedures, emergency response plans and other relevant procedures.
• Ensure dequate stocking of spares, and initiate purchase when required, for routine maintenance and emergencies.
• Ensure that the tools and equipment are adequate and properly maintained to maintain operation readiness.
• Supervise all Technical Officers and Technicians of the section.
• Establish and review documentation and filing system.
• Prepare specifications for procurement and initiate calling and evaluation of quotation/tenders.
• Train and upgrade skill of the section to maintain competence in the operation and maintenance of the Gas Transmission Infrastructure.
• Conduct participate in emergency exercises.
• Plan and provide budget for the Section.
• Monitor expenditures within approved budget.
• Perform standby duties on a rostered basis after office hours, in accordance with organisational requirements.

What You'll Need:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from university recognized by PE Board Singapore, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  Resourceful and meticulous.
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work both independently as well as in a team.
• Possess a valid driving license and having own transport, where required for operational or emergency response duties would be advantageous.
