What The Role Is
You will be managing the HDB building projects from construction commencement through to completion. Your main responsibilities include ensuring quality, cost, safety and timely delivery of the project. At the same time, you need to be involved upstream at the design tender stage to ensure considerations at construction stage are addressed.
What You Will Be Working On
During the construction phase, you are required to manage the consultants and contractors to ensure and oversee the daily construction activities including:
- works are carried out by the contractor in accordance with the Contract Documents
- works are supervised to ensure the quality of works are of an acceptable standard of workmanship
- site safety requirements are adhered to
- works are completed within the period stipulated and the budget allocated
- resolve technical and design issues with the consultants and contractors
- coordinate with other agencies on any development issues
- identify potential construction related issues for solutions
- handle post construction feedback and improvement works related to the project.
You may be involved in studies in the areas of safety, quality, environmental management, construction productivity and construction practices.
What We Are Looking For
You should possess a relevant background in Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical) recognised by the Professional Engineers Board in Singapore.
You should have a positive learning attitude, strong technical problem-solving skills as well as good writing and communication skills.
Candidates with relevant working experience would have an advantage.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract.
