Engineer - Plastic Manufacturing

Job Scope

• Oversee the operation and production of plastic manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and productivity

• Analyse production data and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase output

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing techniques and technologies

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, minimising downtime and ensuring timely delivery of products

• Provide technical guidance and training to production staff to improve their skills and knowledge

• Participate in the design and development of new plastic products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Experience in a plastic manufacturing or engineering role is a plus

• Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams

• Proficient in the use of engineering software, including CAD, simulation tools, and data analysis software

• Knowledge of relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations in the plastic manufacturing industry
