Responsibilities
- Lead site representation to oversee work quality and ensure project timelines comply with local building codes
- Interpret design goals and system requirements to manage project budgets and material resources efficiently
- Serve as the primary technical contact for subcontractors by reviewing quotations, verifying material specifications against engineering drawings, and ensuring work quality meets internal standards
- Collaborate with vendors and specialized subcontractors to define technical specifications and assess competitive quotations
- Validate that all equipment and materials delivered to site conform to engineering drawings and project requirements
- Execute and monitor temporary site works and installation phases to ensure operational readiness
- Direct and supervise site teams and subcontractors to achieve high safety standards, cost efficiency, and technical accuracy
- Take responsibility for the output and professional development of junior technical supervisors under your supervision
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs, including managing variation orders or work claims from subcontractors and clients
- Drive additional technical projects or system optimizations as assigned by management
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical and electrical (M&E) experience within HVAC/Wafer Fabrication or Semiconductor industry environments
- Deep knowledge of M&E detailing, schematic interpretation, and local construction best practices
- Full familiarity with Singapore's local codes and statutory regulations
- Analytical skills to troubleshoot complex system failures
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between site teams and upper management
- Proven ability to produce timely documentation and report submissions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard engineering software
