Job Summary
This Engineer leads installation, implementation, and support of control and optimization solutions to deliver energy-efficient systems, ensuring reliable operations and providing technical expertise to teams and clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot optimization and control products and services across regional projects to ensure system functionality and energy efficiency
- Execute project implementation including energy-saving features, Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD), data analytics, alarm analytics, and energy dashboards to optimize performance
- Develop and document control strategies aligned with project and client requirements to guide system operations
- Conduct system auto-testing, testing, and commissioning (T&C) to verify proper system functionality and compliance
- Propose retrofit solutions to enhance performance and energy efficiency of existing customer equipment
- Provide technical advisory and support to internal engineers and project teams to resolve technical challenges
- Participate in technical discussions with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to align project objectives and solutions
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation including control strategy write-ups, T&C reports, user manuals, and project progress reports to support project milestones
- Perform maintenance of existing systems via remote access or onsite visits, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain system reliability
- Manage subcontractors involved in panel design and onsite testing & commissioning to ensure deliverables meet quality, safety, and project specifications
- Follow company systems, processes, and reporting structures to ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS), building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, or energy management systems
- Familiarity with control systems, data analytics platforms, and energy optimization solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to control and energy systems
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate project activities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
