What The Role Is
You will be part of a team involved in planning & conducting reviews and studies in the civil and structural engineering aspects and technical evaluation for proposed structural addition and alteration (A&A) works to existing buildings. You will also be involved in carrying out audits at project sites for quality assurance and compliance with HDB requirements of the production and construction works.
What You Will Be Working On
You will participate in formulating HDB design requirements, interact with consultants and other project team members to review and resolve design or construction issues. You will also be with the Engineering Materials Laboratory team assuring the structural materials used comply with prevailing Standards and requirements. In the course of your duties, you will have opportunity of exposure, conduct research & development as well as implement innovative solutions related to the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), data management or wireless technologies to transform the work processes.
What We Are Looking For
You should possess a relevant background in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore. Those with 2 to 3 years of working experience in design and/or supervision of civil engineering and building projects, especially in the adoption of advanced construction technology will be preferred. Experience in managing civil & structural engineering projects and knowledge of relevant design or modelling software, data analytics, robotics will be an asset.
Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
