Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer tosupport the delivery of data centre electrical systems across large‑scale,mission‑critical projects in Singapore. This role is suited for early‑careerengineers who are keen to gain practical site experience in high‑availabilityenvironments under the guidance of senior electrical and MEP engineers.
The successful candidate will be involved in sitecoordination, inspections, and documentation across critical power andelectrical systems to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and inaccordance with approved standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and coordinating electrical works for data centre projects, including power distribution, lighting, earthing and bonding systems
- Support site installation and inspections for critical systems such as LV switchboards, UPS interfaces, generators (coordination scope), and associated infrastructure
- Assist in ensuring works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and data centre standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve site issues
- Support review of shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions related to electrical works
- Participate in testing & commissioning support activities, inspections, and punch‑list close‑out
- Maintain site records including inspection checklists, test results, and progress documentation
- Monitor site progress and escalate safety, quality, or programme concerns to senior engineers
- Comply with all HSE, quality, and data centre operational requirements
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience in electrical works (site‑based experience strongly preferred)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems used in data centre or mission‑critical facilities
- Exposure to site coordination, inspections, and construction drawings is an advantage
- Willingness to learn data centre standards and work under supervision in a live project environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident preferred
