Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and gather technical requirements.
Prepare and review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and as-built drawings.
Plan project schedules, resources, materials, manpower, and equipment prior to commencement.
Supervise and manage site installation works, ensuring progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings.
Coordinate with clients, main contractors, consultants, and internal teams on all project matters.
Liaise with procurement and QS on material ordering and project costing.
Arrange and coordinate material testing with testing laboratories when required.
Identify technical issues on-site and provide practical solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including permit-to-work, toolbox meetings, and preparation of safety documents (MOS, RA, SWP).
Attend site inspections, resolve non-conformities, and ensure quality standards are met.
Prepare site reports, progress updates, documentation, and monthly progress claims.
Support QA/QC processes, production coordination, and product quality verification where necessary.
Job Qualification:
Education Required:
Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Singapore PE Board, or a Degree in Civil Engineering not recognized by the PE Board with a valid Structural Steel Engineer (StEr) (SSSS) certification and relevant membership.
Relevant certifications such as BCSS, CSCPM, or equivalent will be an advantage.
Experience Required:
Relevant experience in construction or installation projects is required.
Experience in structural steel and metal works will be an added advantage.
