Job Summary
Support global New Product Introduction (NPI) by designing and developing products, preparing tooling proposals, managing tooling setup, and collaborating with customers and factories to ensure compliance and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Support global NPI by designing and developing product components to meet project requirements
- Prepare detailed drawing proposals and tooling designs to facilitate manufacturing processes
- Conduct tooling buy-off inspections and perform hands-on tooling setup to ensure quality and functionality
- Initiate and evaluate improvement projects to enhance product design and manufacturing efficiency
- Liaise with customers to clarify design requirements and ensure alignment with expectations
- Coordinate with factories to verify capability compliance and resolve production issues
- Manage tooling expenses and implement cost control measures to optimize budget utilization
- Travel overseas as required to support project and tooling activities
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Precision Engineering
- Proficiency in Solidworks software for 3D modeling and design
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience in tool & die, jig & fixtures design
- Positive attitude and self-motivation
