Engineer, BioMedical Engineering

The Job

You will assist Bio-medical Engineering department with the commissioning, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing of a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment.

Your role will include but not be limited to the following:

- Commissioning of incoming simple biomedical equipment

- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in equipment by making adjustments, alterations, repairs or parts replacements

- Assist in coordinating all service and repair activities of his section including setting work priority for Staff, assigning work and monitoring work accuracy, completeness and safety

- Assist in the oversight on equipment service contracts ensuring contractors fulfil their contractual obligations

- Develop tender specifications for equipment, participate in pre-purchase tender and/or equipment evaluation and advising hospital on selection of suitable equipment

- Communicate with users on service activities affecting them including scheduled maintenance, repairs, commissioning, user training and user satisfaction feedback

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
