The EPC (Energy Performance Contracting) Manager is responsible for leading and managing energy efficiency and sustainability projects across buildings, chiller plants, and related facilities. This role works closely with building owners, contractors, consultants, and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) to implement Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) and deliver measurable energy savings.
Identify energy-saving opportunities through energy audits, site assessments, and performance analysis.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and implementation strategies.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement ECMs such as lighting retrofits, HVAC and chiller plant optimisation, insulation improvements, and renewable energy solutions.
Ensure all works comply with local regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
Conduct cost-benefit and lifecycle analyses to assess technical and financial feasibility.
Calculate projected energy savings, carbon reduction, and return on investment (ROI).
Support and negotiate EPC and ESCO contracts, ensuring performance guarantees are clearly defined.
Monitor post-implementation energy consumption and verify actual savings against projections.
Investigate and address deviations from expected performance.
Maintain accurate records, data logs, and measurement & verification (M&V) documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, tenants, and partners.
Provide regular updates on project progress, savings achieved, and performance outcomes.
Address client queries and concerns professionally and proactively.
Ensure ECM installations meet technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual performance guarantees.
Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and follow-up assessments.
Prepare technical, financial, and energy savings reports for stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and certifications (e.g. BCA requirements and Green Mark certification).
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Energy Performance Contracting or energy efficiency projects.
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or an equivalent discipline.
Registered Energy Auditor with BCA (mandatory).
Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM)
Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
LEED AP
Decarbonisation-related certifications (if any)
Proven experience in energy management, project management, or facilities management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including familiarity with energy modelling and analysis tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent
Must be Energy Auditor registered with BCA
Relevant certifications (e.g. Singapore Certified Energy Manager, LEED AP Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Decarbonization certification if any) are advantageous
