Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Energy Management System (EnMS) in accordance with Singapore's Energy Conservation Act (ECA) and other regulatory standards.
- Set realistic energy objectives and targets based on detailed analysis of the organisation's energy consumption patterns.
- Conduct and/or oversee regular energy audits and assessments to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for energy conservation.
- Monitor energy consumption data and identify significant deviations to promptly implement corrective actions.
- Prepare, submit, and manage compliance reports and performance assessments for submission to local authorities such as the National Environment Agency (NEA).
- Design and recommend energy-saving projects and technological upgrades to enhance overall energy efficiency.
- Track and manage energy-related expenditure, proposing financial strategies to support investments in energy-efficient systems or equipment.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees and key stakeholders on energy management practices and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, engineering, finance, and procurement to integrate energy initiatives into daily business processes.
- Stay updated with evolving local energy regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certified Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) is mandatory registration with NEA as an Energy Manager is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as an Energy Manager or in a similar energy management role within Singapore or comparable markets.
- Proven experience with energy audit procedures, energy reporting, and managing energy conservation projects.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's Energy Conservation Act, environmental regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Proficient in analyzing energy consumption data and implementing energy efficiency systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse stakeholders and lead training sessions.
- Initiative-taking, resourceful, and able to work independently under deadline pressure.
- Organized with strong project management capabilities.
Requirement for the role:
- The role is a 1 year contract role.
- The working day is 1 day per week.
