Embedded System Engineer

Your Role

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize the embedded hardware and firmware at the heart of our robots. You'll work directly with the founding team across AI, SLAM, and computer vision, and take ownership of core systems that will define our next generation of robots.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead the design and development of embedded systems for our first robotic platforms.

. Architect power systems (battery management, onboard charging, voltage regulation).

. Own PCB design and hardware selection for controllers, sensor hubs, and actuator drivers.

. Integrate a wide range of sensors (LiDARs, IMUs, cameras) and actuators (motors, servos).

. Develop modular firmware, low-level drivers, and hardware-software interfaces.

. Build robust, reliable systems through rapid prototyping and real-world testing.

. Collaborate tightly with AI and autonomy teams to deliver full-stack robotic systems.

. Help define best practices for embedded hardware, firmware, and integration as we grow.

. Grow into a leadership role as the engineering team scales.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field), with top academic performance.

. Strong foundation in embedded systems architecture, PCB design, and firmware development (C++, Python).

. Experience from internships, research projects, or personal builds integrating sensors, actuators, and embedded platforms.

. Good understanding of power systems, real-time systems, and hardware debugging tools.

. Passion for robotics, autonomy, and building things from the ground up.

. High ownership mentality - ready to take initiative and drive projects forward.
