Were looking for a seasonedEmbedded Firmware Engineerwho has shipped IoT products at scale, preferably on AWS, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments.
What Youll Do
- Design, develop, and maintainembedded firmwarefor ELLOs next-gen security cameras.
- Work withARM-based MCUs, SoCs, and camera modules(low-level drivers, RTOS, Linux).
- Implement and optimizewireless connectivity(Wi-Fi, BLE, Matter optional).
- Build reliableOTA update mechanismsand device provisioning flows.
- Integrate withcloud services (AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, or similar)for secure device-to-cloud communication.
- Collaborate with hardware, CV/AI, and mobile teams to bring features from prototype to mass production.
- Debug, profile, and optimize forperformance, power efficiency, and security.
- Support manufacturing and field deployment with diagnostic tools and firmware testing.
What Were Looking For
- 5+ yearsof experience in embedded firmware development for consumer hardware or IoT products.
- Strong skills inC/C++, with exposure toPythonor shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience withRTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.)and Linux-based firmware.
- Proven track record building firmware that shipped inhigh-volume IoT/consumer electronics products.
- Experience withAWS IoT (Core, Greengrass, Device Shadows, OTA jobs)strongly preferred.
- Familiar withcamera, video, or sensor integration.
- Solid understanding ofsecurity protocols(TLS, device authentication, key management).
- Familiarity withDFU, OTA, and factory provisioning workflows.
- Bonus: knowledge ofcomputer vision hardware pipelinesoredge AI accelerators.
