Elementary Music Teacher at the

Position Requirements:
- Ability to lead instrumental ensembles, choir or orchestra
- Skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, bilingual teaching and working across all age groups in the Elementary school
- Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students to participate confidently and creatively in music learning
- An up to date and thorough understanding of principles and practices relating to student learning strategies
- Set and maintain high standards in all aspects of Music Teaching, Learning and Performance
- Outstanding organizational and administrative skills that support effective and efficient management of data related to student performance and curriculum documentation relevant to the teaching of Music
- A strong commitment to the development of a professional learning community that is deeply embedded in the culture of the school
- A demonstrated capacity to work with teams and develop co-operative and constructive working relationships that promote quality teaching and learning practices
- A demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, colleagues, parents and broader community
- Demonstrated experience/capacity to fulfil the core responsibilities of the position
Qualifications:
- DipEd / PDGE / BEd / MEd or equivalent (Desirable)
- Orff Schulwerk / Kodaly Certification (Desirable)
- Instrumental certification (AMEB / ABRSM / Trinity / Suzuki / RCM)
- Experience of working with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (Desirable)
- Exemplary teaching and learning skills which achieves an outstanding level of student learning in the area of Music education
- Demonstrated exemplary teaching and learning practices that support high levels of student engagement and achievement in Music education
