Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design and development of SICK industrial products.
- Design and implement analog, digital and mixed signal circuits.
- Ensure PCB Layout design meets EMC requirements.
- Perform feasibility study and design verification.
- Define and implement test procedures to ensure product quality and robustness.
- Ensure designs meet specifications and functional requirements including performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost and compliance with international regulatory standards (e.g. IEC, UL, CE, etc).
- Create and update engineering documentation, such as schematics, electronics architecture, design specification, Bill of Material, tolerance analysis and technical review documents.
- Liaising with suppliers and other service providers ensuring full compliance with specifications.
- Evaluate component selection in the design with calculation, simulation and modelling.
- Work with multi-functional development team (locally and globally) to drive new projects achieving on-schedule product releases.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or similar discipline.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in electronics design with at least one full product development cycle.
- Proficiency in circuitry design and simulation tools.
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary knowledge of the system aspects of sensors and their applications.
- Have a good understanding of product realization process from development to production.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and effectively as a team.
- Experience in Vision Sensor or camera-based product development is an added advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
