The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation in compliance with Singapore regulations and safety standards.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes and safety regulations
Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchboards, and control panels
Diagnose electrical faults using testing devices and perform corrective actions
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce system downtime and safety risks
Ensure all electrical works comply with MOM, BCA, and relevant safety standards
Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and workplace safety requirements
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
Respond to emergency electrical issues when required
Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Relevant electrical certification or license (where applicable)
Knowledge of Singapore electrical codes and safety regulations
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant electrical working experience
Experience in building, construction, industrial, or facilities maintenance environments preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Familiarity with electrical tools, testing instruments, and safety equipment
Good understanding of workplace safety and risk assessment
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and able to work on site, including heights when required
Willing to work overtime or on shift when required
Positive work attitude and strong safety awarenes
