Supervise major electrical production tasks for new build and repair vessels, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
Monitor defective electrical components on repair vessels, oversee troubleshooting activities, and submit service reports to the Repair Project Manager upon vessel delivery.
Raise purchase requisitions (PR) for electrical materials required for both new build and repair vessels.
Provide on-site support during electrical system commissioning or troubleshooting, including coordination with external vendors.
As required by the project, travel overseas to resolve vessel warranty issues and ensure satisfactory resolution.
Able to establish the Material Estimate Take-Off (METO) based on electrical system schematic and Shipyard's workmanship standard.
Requirements:
Nitec/Diploma or any Professional Certification holder in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
More than 5 years of relevant working experience in maintenance of high voltage equipment in marine industry preferred.
Good proficiency in English language to communicate with different stakeholders.
Possess good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to deliver results under pressure and within tight deadlines.
