Supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the tunnel, including: Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) Power distribution (LV/HV systems) Lighting systems Ventilation systems Fire detection and suppression systems Dewatering pumps and drainage systems
Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Conduct routine inspections, quality checks, and safety audits.
Lead the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and ensure all documentation is completed.
Enforce safety standards and ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and tunnel safety regulations.
Maintain and update electrical logs, reports, and inventory of materials and tools.
Provide technical support to resolve issues on-site and recommend corrective actions.
Train and supervise electrical technicians and subcontractors.
Requirements
Minimum 5 year of experience in tunnelling.
Experience with TBMs, tunnel infrastructure systems, and temporary site power setups.
Can work Monday to Saturday, 12 shifts
Must be able to perform day or night shifts underground on the TBM (including weekends and public holidays)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Skilled in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging underground environments.
