. Oversee the technical management of assigned vessels, with focus on electrical systems, DP systems, automation, navigation, communication, and other onboard electronic equipment.
. Ensure electrical and DP systems are maintained in line with planned maintenance schedules, manufacturer recommendations, classification requirements, and operational standards.
. Monitor vessel technical performance and support troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, control, and DP system issues.
. Provide technical guidance to vessel crews on maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and system reliability.
. Plan and coordinate repair works, service attendances, and dry-docking activities related to electrical, DP, automation, and control systems.
. Participate in DP trials, FMEA activities, annual trials, audits, and ensure required follow-up actions are completed.
. Liaise with equipment makers, service providers, shipyards, classification societies, and clients on electrical and DP matters.
. Assist in investigations of technical incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
. Support audits, inspections, risk assessments, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
. Ensure vessels comply with Class, Flag State, Port State, statutory regulations, and client technical requirements.
. Prepare and monitor repair and maintenance budgets while ensuring cost-effective technical solutions.
. Track vessel operating costs, repair activities, and spare parts usage to maintain cost control and vessel reliability.
. Support procurement of electrical, electronic, and DP spare parts and services for assigned vessels.
. Maintain accurate technical documentation, service records, and equipment history.
. Conduct vessel visits, inspections, and attend shipyards when required.
. Minimum 5-7 years of shore-based experience in a similar Technical Superintendent or related role.
. Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, or relevant discipline.
. Proven experience managing DP2 vessels with strong electrical system expertise.
. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, DP systems, automation, navigation, communication, and shipboard electronics.
. Good understanding of vessel maintenance practices, classification requirements, statutory regulations, and offshore vessel operations.
. Experience in DP trials, FMEA, and electrical troubleshooting will be an advantage.
. Mandarin communication skills required to coordinate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
. Willingness to travel internationally for vessel attendance, inspections, and dry-docking when required.
. Able to support vessel operations across multiple time zones and outside normal office hours when necessary
