Position Overview
We're working with a fast-growing data center developer with a strong presence in APAC, seeking a senior Electrical Subject Matter Expert to lead the electrical design function across its hyperscale projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical decisions, influence project outcomes, and collaborate closely with leadership in a lean, agile, and cross-border environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design strategy across full project lifecycles-from concept to handover
- Provide technical leadership and decision-making across engineering teams
- Act as the go-to expert for all electrical matters on data center builds
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders
- Offer insights, feedback, and risk assessments on electrical systems and infrastructure
- Participate in early-stage project planning and contribute to design innovation
- Represent the electrical discipline in cross-functional discussions and reviews
- Travel to Japan (up to 50%) to oversee project execution and coordination
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience in the data center industry
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end project cycles (design to RFS)
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to make independent decisions
- Willingness to travel frequently to Japan
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, and flexible environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cultures
