Key Duties & Responsibilities

. Supervise onsite electrical operations to confirm that only licensed personnel perform complex technical tasks safely.
. Perform regular inspections of switchboards, generators, and cabling to identify and rectify unsafe site conditions.
. Manage the electrical permit-to-work system and oversee proper lock-out and tag-out procedures for safety.
. Investigate electrical incidents or near misses to prepare detailed reports and recommend long-term preventive actions.
. Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings to foster a strong culture of electrical awareness.

Job Requirements
. Relevant certification in electrical engineering or a related safety management qualification.
. Proven experience in implementing electrical safety protocols within a large construction environment.
. Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and national electrical installation standards.
. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and site installation schematics accurately.
. Demonstrated experience in managing permit-to-work systems for high-voltage or industrial electrical equipment.
. Excellent communication skills for conducting safety training sessions for diverse site personnel teams.
