Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical/Instrumentation Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of our projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for potential works
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (e.g., cable containment, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, ELV systems, etc.).
- Evaluate and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and ensure works are carried out within the approved budget.
- Handle cost control, contract administration, and change management.
- Assess and certify subcontractor claims and process payments.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and provide updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
- Support the Project Team on contractual, commercial, and procurement matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/ Instrument Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre and post-contract duties
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Possess good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Drafting knowledge using AutoCAD is an added advantage
