ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Technician will support the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems at construction and building projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and related electrical services

• Carry out electrical works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements

• Support site inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements

• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems and rectification of defects where required

• Prepare and maintain basic technical records, inspection checklists, and site reports

• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and other site personnel on daily work activities

• Ensure works comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety procedures

• Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing corrective actions

• Support project team in achieving quality, safety, and schedule objectives

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical or engineering-related experience

• Basic understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and site practices

• Willing to learn and follow technical instructions and safety procedures

• Able to work on construction sites and perform site-based duties

• Able to communicate in basic English
