Electrical Engineer (Wire Harness / Box Build)

• Position :Electrical Engineer (Wire Harness / Box Build)
• Location: Loyang Lane, a few bus stops from Tampines East MRT
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $5000 basic + 1-2 months variable bonus, 20 days annual leave and medical benefits

Main Responsibilities

• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and cable or harness drawings.
• Support the selection of wires, connectors and terminals based on technical requirements.
• Review wire gauge, current capacity, continuity, grounding and shielding requirements.
• Participate in design-for-manufacturability reviews for wire harness and box-build assemblies.
• Prepare and maintain wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and assembly work instructions.
• Support customer projects from quotation, prototype and NPI through production launch.
• Maintain project schedules, task lists, milestone trackers and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, quality and procurement teams on deliverables.
• Process and track engineering change requests, including ECO and ECN implementation.
• Support first-article inspections, product testing and validation of new builds.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
• Support PFMEA, process validation, Lean and continuous-improvement activities.
• Participate in customer or supplier meetings and technical design reviews when required.
• Support customer audits and regulatory or compliance documentation.
• Attend to occasional after-hours site requirements when operationally necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Practical exposure to wire harnesses, cable assemblies, box builds or electro-mechanical products is strongly preferred.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits and wiring principles.

Additional Advantages

• Experience supporting prototype-to-production or NPI activities.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness workmanship standards.
• Experience handling ECOs, ECNs, first-article inspections or process validation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, E3 or similar software.
• Exposure to PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement.
