ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

• Plan, manage, and oversee the overall electrical works for projects.
• Review project specifications and prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems.
• Technically evaluate suppliers proposals and equipment submissions.
• Guide designers in preparing Single Line Diagrams and review subcontractors Field Engineering Drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and applicable local and international codes.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and site supervisors in the execution of electrical construction works through regular site visits and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate proactively with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper interface and avoid design or construction conflicts.
• Liaise with clients engineers, supervisors, and professional engineers to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure electrical works meet the required quality, safety, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Recognised Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the chemical engineering industry.
• Hands-on experience with 22kV and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems is required.
• Good knowledge of Singapore electrical codes, regulations, and engineering practices.
• Familiarity with relevant local and international engineering codes and standards.
• Mature, proactive, and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project requirements effectively.
• Willing to work additional hours based on project requirements.
• Candidates with more extensive relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
