Electrical Engineer

Technical Competencies

• Understanding of UPS system architecture (UPS units, batteries, bypass systems, distribution)

• Knowledge of power resilience and redundancy concepts in critical environments

• Basic skills in UPS monitoring and alarm interpretation

• Exposure to preventive maintenance procedures for UPS and battery systems

• Familiarity with battery health checks, runtime monitoring, and inspection practices

Operational Competencies

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a live operations environment

• Experience in incident reporting, escalation, and documentation

• Understanding of maintenance schedules and operational checklists

• Exposure to coordination with engineers, facilities teams, and vendors

Safety & Compliance Competencies

• Awareness of electrical safety practices and hazard identification

• Compliance with site safety rules, permits, and regulated environments

• Understanding of risk management and operational discipline in critical infrastructure

Professional & Workplace Competencies

• Development of attention to detail and accountability

• Ability to work in shift-based or standby operations (where applicable)
