About the role
This role sits within the Process Engineering department and focuses on the design, integration, and validation of electrical systems for semiconductor equipment. You will work closely with system engineers and cross-functional teams to develop robust power, control, and interlock systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with system engineers to define electrical system and subsystem design specifications
- Design electrical interlock and power distribution systems for semiconductor equipment
- Manage external vendors and contractors to ensure subsystem compliance with design and reliability requirements
- Perform system and subsystem integration, testing, and validation
- Support prototype testing, troubleshooting, and technical analysis
- Design diagnostic tools and fixtures for manufacturing and field service use
- Provide escalation support and participate in customer technical discussions (calls and onsite meetings)
- Prepare technical presentations for engineering and customer reviews
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor equipment or related engineering environment
- Experience in motion control or automation systems
- Strong understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems
- Experience with PCB integration, I/O systems, frame grabbers, CCD, and A/D modules
- Knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP communication protocols
- Experience in cable design and documentation
- Familiarity with electrical safety and regulatory compliance standards
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
