Job Summary
Manage and oversee all electrical engineering and installation works at construction sites, including planning, execution, supervision, testing. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all electrical installation works at site, including LV/MV systems, cabling, containment, lighting, and power systems.
- Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and other M&E trades to ensure smooth project execution and integration of services.
- Monitor site progress, productivity, and quality of electrical works to meet project timelines and standards.
- Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved drawings and method statements.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and work schedules for site activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Liaise with authorities and consultants for inspections, approvals, and project submissions where required.
- Assist in cost control, material procurement, and variation works evaluation.
- Maintain proper documentation, including reports, drawings, and handover records.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support to resolve site issues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
Preferred Competencies & Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 10 years of relevant experience in construction site electrical installation works
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
- Experience in handling M&E coordination and site supervision
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures
- Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
- Proficient in MS Office and basic engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD)
