Job Summary
You will lead electrical engineering design activities for offshore projects, working across Singapore and China over two years to deliver compliant, innovative electrical systems for platforms and FPSOs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for offshore platforms and FPSOs, ensuring compliance with global electrical codes and standards such as IEC and BSI
- Apply expertise in electrical engineering to produce detailed designs that meet project specifications and operational requirements
- Utilize SolidWorks and Veristar software to create, analyze, and validate electrical system models and designs
- Collaborate with shipyards and consulting teams to integrate electrical designs within overall offshore project frameworks
- Manage electrical design tasks independently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Interpret and implement relevant regulations and standards to ensure safety and functionality of electrical systems in offshore environments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Electrical Engineering background
- Experience working with shipyard or consulting companies
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical design for offshore platforms, FPSOs, or similar projects
- Familiarity with global electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, BSI)
- Proficient in SolidWorks and Veristar software
- Strong understanding of electrical system design principles
