Take ownership of Facilities Electrical System (up to & including 22 kV) which include Transformer, MSB/DB, Lighting, emergency power (Genset), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), earthing, lightning protection, harmonics filtering, Voltage sag protector etc and implement a TPM program.
Collaborate with facilities operations by providing engineering solutions to enhance systems reliability and robustness.
Setup and manage a risk based management system for motor management on critical electrical motors
Support facilities operations in troubleshooting of system problems and closure of incident reports.
Update & conduct risk assessments for works on electrical systems
Subject matter expert for LV & MV protection, LOTO procedures, disaster recovery documentation and procedures.
Liaise with local authorities such as EMA, NEA, PowerGrid when required.
Track the monthly loading of critical systems (Transformer, MSB/DB etc) and perform capacity studies for facilities expansions/upgrading.
Gatekeeper & advisor for electrical capacity planning and allocation
Plan, design, tender out and manage expansion/upgrading projects with zero incidents and accurate budget control.
Ensure PPE & safety equipment such as rubber floor mats, rescue hooks, voltage testers, etc. are available.
Track and manage lighting & power consumables consumption and optimize processes to reduce costs.
Monitor routine and ad hoc service contractors performance to ensure safe & timely delivery of services as per service level agreement.
Formulate annual budgets for service contracts, improvement projects, spares, consumables and utilities.
Update existing M&E operating procedures, work instructions, FMEA and develop new ones, if required.
Develop and update PM scope of work, work instructions and checklists for service contracts RFQ.
Manage the documentation of service reports, asset database, spare parts, O&M manuals, drawings, etc.
Participate in quality, insurance/risk, environmental and safety audits, work groups and trainings.
Act as area owner for 6S program covering facilities areas and rooms.
Develop and conduct trainings to Facilities Operations shifters on new installations or procedures.
Required to be available on site after office hours occasionally on weekends and public holidays for incident/issue attention
Facilities liaison with QA, EHS on instrument & sensors calibration related matters.
Responsible for setting up a registry for instruments/transmitters/critical control valves requiring calibration and ensuring they are scheduled for calibration by a certified vendor before the expiry of the due date, optimize processes and calibration requirements to reduce costs.
Job Requirements:
Minimum degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering from recognized institution
Experienced (Relevant experience in electrical systems design, operations and maintenance will be an advantage.
Able to read and understand P&ID, SLD, control and logic circuits.
Semicon experience will be an advantage.
SCEM (professional level) and LEW will be an advantage.
Familiar with SCADA and PLC control system. Knowledge in high end fieldbus communication.
Familiar with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D.
Familiar with ATEX requirements for electrical installations/instruments in flammable/explosive classified zones.
Well versed with Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD.
