Oversee all electrical and automation systems onboard vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Manage and coordinate maintenance programs for electrical and automation equipment, enhancing the efficiency and safety of operations
Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and automation issues, providing guidance and support to technical teams and onboard electrician onboard as well as during dockings
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring systems are maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime
Conduct regular audits and inspections of electrical and automation systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
Collaborate with other departments, including operations, engineering, and safety, to ensure effective and efficient workflows
Evaluate and recommend improvements to electrical and automation systems, focusing on optimization and innovation
Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics and improvement initiatives and present findings on related electrical and electronic field to management
Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to electrical and automation systems, implementing relevant advancements
Could be call upon/ seconded to assist the Group in the Newbuild hybrid crewboat and AHTS roll out initiatives and oversee the electrical configuration and understanding of the system to provide subject matter advice during the new building stage
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical and automation roles, preferably within the offshore OSV/ Subsea / DSV industry
Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, automation technologies, and relevant safety standards
Proven experience in managing maintenance programs and leading technical teams
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams
Familiarity with maintenance management systems and digital tools used in the industry
Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as required
