Will be involved with EHS functions in the overall planning, co-ordination and implementation of the site safety, occupational health, environmental, fire protection and emergency response programs with regards to the Local Regulatory Authorities , ISO requirements, SDS collection required under the Hazard Communication standard and other regulatory data.
Responsible for providing environmental, health and safety engineering support for Singapore. The engineer will work with site management to provide long range guidance of EHS regulations affecting the facility, provide appropriate training for personnel, and maintain Brady's strong history of compliance and employee safety.
To troubleshoot, repair, service and maintain process equipment and plant facilities in order that production can meet shipment as scheduled.
To carry out installation, evaluation and upgrade of process equipment and plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates activities and provides support for performance of the EH&S management systems at one or more facilities.
Lead project management for safety projects, equipment, materials review and other EHS protocols deliverables.
Coordinate program for NPD process scale up, machine guarding assessment and support product transfers.
Develop matrix and documentation for updates and reporting including EHS legal documentations, permits, SDS, KPI data and ensure the timely updating into corporate Brady EHS data automation management system (BEAKER and SQDCCE).
Develop sustainable EHS program, procedures and processes for employees awareness.
Conduct EHS audits/ risk assessment at site level and recommend corrective actions with regards to the scope of site EHS activities/facilities, corporate CPE programs.
Work directly with business unit or site management to propose budget for site EHS related activities.
Work with site operations or site EHS contact on program to inspect machines/ equipments/ processes for accident prevention programs, devices, hazard identifications and risk assessment.
To ensure all accident, dangerous occurrence and Incident or occupational disease that occurred within the workplace or sites are timely reported and investigated. Analyzing site accident trend and implement sustainable preventive measures.
Prepare, Compile, Interpret and Analyze the following Reports: Monthly Safety, Health and Environmental Performance Statistics and Metrics to the regional/ Corporate EHS Management.
Incident Investigation Reports recommendations and Overdue Status.
Machine Guarding and Risk Assessment Process.
Identify training needs for site EHS contacts, relevant employees/ and or contractors basing on identified workplace risk.
Initiative to perform duties within all applicable country or regional regulatory, corporate or internal requirements and looking beyond regulation to identify workplace hazard and quantify workplace risk.
Ensure the site develop Emergency Response planning and activities in compliance to local fire safety authority and Corporate Loss Prevention requirements.
Lead the scheduled waste management for the site with following duties:
Establish legal and others requirement registered list, identify waste generated from site and notify the scheduled waste generation via authority portal.
Ensure the scheduled waste generated are properly stored, labeled and transported accordingly.
Develop scheduled waste management program, establish scheduled waste monitoring inventory, prepare the e-Consignment and e-Inventory report, develop waste card for scheduled waste and develop schedule waste management procedure.
Train all personnel on the scheduled waste management for the site & maintain all scheduled waste related records.
Perform Tasks and develop relevant work plan as required by the superior.

As the job affects downtime of the equipment, the facility technician is expected to use his skills to ensure that repairs are carried out expeditiously.
To inform equipment owner immediately on repair status or completion.
To stall, test-run, evaluate and qualify process equipment and plant facilities.
To perform scheduled maintenance and calibration on process equipment and plant facilities.
To assist the process engineer in implementing programs to improve process capability and equipment efficiency in order to reduce cost.
To liaise with contractors with the view to improving the working environment, safety and machine performance and to supervise contractor's work in the company's premises.
To help the process engineering plan, define, write and implement operating procedures and work instructions for equipment preventive maintenance and calibration.
To carry out routine inspections of plant facilities, process and safety equipment and security system.
To support engineering in process and equipment evaluation and render relevant assistance to other departments when requested.
To report all safety hazards and non-compliance of safety regulations or requirements encountered to the maintenance engineer.

Requisite Criteria
Bachelor degree in environmental engineering, safety engineering or a closely related physical science.
At least 3 years of direct EH&S and facility management experience.
Skills
Experience with process scale up support and machine guarding assessment.
Capable of attaining local safety profession registration (Registered Safety Officer) and CEPSWAM as competency requirement under the local regulatory requirement.
Experience with ISO 14001 systems.
Fluent in local national language and able to communicate both written and spoken English.
Possess problem solving, good interpersonal & communication skills. Computer literate, presentation. outgoing, flexible, good cross-functional team player, result-oriented and hardworking.
